Museo Nazionale del Cinema (Fondazione Maria Adriana
Prolo) is located in Turin inside the famous Mole Antonelliana, the monument
best known and highest in Turin. This is a museum dedicated to Italian and
international cinema of the most important and most prestigious in the world.
Stastistiche in hand, in 2006 registered 550,000 visitors well, attracted by the
precious relics preserved within the halls of the museum. Among them we
recall the historic machines optical pre-cinema, also called magic lanterns, and
other cameras from its original set of many famous films, especially those of
Cinecittą in Rome. The exhibition unfolds in 3200 square meters on five
floors, you can see posters and original film posters, film, books, just to give
you some numbers: 80,000 photographs, 12,000 films, 26,000 books, over 300,000
posters and 20,000 between appliances, paintings and original prints of the
period. Renowned is the panoramic lift which is located inside the museum,
which opened recently, in 2000, with transparent glass walls that will take you
on the "terrace" of the Mole Antonelliana, at 85 meters in height, of course,
where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the city. |
